This fine launch is power by a Beckmann, Limited wood fired vertical fire tube steam boiler Model VFT-30 and a single cylinder Strath "Warrego" steam engine.  The system is condensing with make up water stored in a 12 gallon tank beneath the foredeck.  Seats are fitted with fronts and access hatches for storage.

The Nelsons will be using their steam launch on many of Minnesota's 10,000 lakes and plan trips to many meets around the country.  The Compromise 21 is easily trailered by a single axle trailer with surge brakes.
